About the Department of Nephrology

Civil Hospital Ahmedabad serves the people of Gujarat and neighbouring regions with a teaching-hospital model where patient care, education and research belong together.

The Department of Nephrology covers the full span of kidney care: prevention and early management of chronic kidney disease, dialysis services, and a kidney transplant programme regulated under THOTA. As an academic department, care is delivered by clinical teams — consultants, residents, nurses and allied staff — rather than resting on any single doctor.
